How to book Dubai’s air taxi
You cannot book a Dubai air taxi today — and any site selling ‘air taxi tickets’ for Dubai is not selling a real product. When service launches (expected before the end of 2026), booking runs through the Uber app: enter a destination, and if the trip qualifies, ‘Uber Air powered by Joby’ appears as an option; one tap books every leg of the journey, per the joint Joby-Uber announcement of 25 February 2026. The confirmed booking mechanism for Dubai’s air taxi was announced jointly by Joby Aviation and Uber on 25 February 2026: ‘riders will simply open the Uber app and enter their destination in the “Where to?” bar. Until launch there is nothing to book. No official waitlist, pre-reservation or ticket sale has been announced by Joby, Uber or the RTA as of 22 August 2026. Third-party sites offering Dubai ‘air taxi bookings’ or ‘flight credits’ today are not connected to the operator; treat them accordingly.

As of 22 August 2026, Dubai’s air taxi service has not launched. The first vertiport (VDX at Dubai International) was GCAA-certified on 7 July 2026 — the first certificate of its kind in the world — and Joby has said it expects to carry its first passengers before the end of 2026.
