Current status
As of 22 August 2026, Dubai’s air taxi service has not launched. The first vertiport (VDX at Dubai International) was GCAA-certified on 7 July 2026 — the first certificate of its kind in the world — and Joby has said it expects to carry its first passengers before the end of 2026.
