About

Dubai Marina Vertiport is the second confirmed site in Dubai's purpose-built eVTOL network. It is being constructed by Skyports Infrastructure under contract to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), as part of the four-site network identified in the 11 February 2024 definitive agreement between Joby Aviation, the RTA and Skyports signed at the World Governments Summit.

Skyports' 16 April 2026 release on the technical completion of DXB Vertiport explicitly states: 'The second node, at Dubai Marina, is currently under construction.' Construction of the Marina vertiport followed the DXB site by approximately two years. Joby Aviation holds an exclusive six-year operating agreement with the RTA covering all eVTOL air-taxi services in the Emirate.

By car

Dubai Marina, accessible via Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Sufouh Road. Vertiport-specific access not yet published.

From the airport

Approximately 30 km by road from Dubai International Airport. A direct DXB ↔ Dubai Marina eVTOL connection is part of the announced network.

Regulatory status

Operations will fall under the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) for airworthiness, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the operational franchise, and the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) and Dubai Air Navigation Services (DANS) for emirate-level oversight. Joby's six-year exclusive agreement signed 11 February 2024 covers all eVTOL air-taxi services in Dubai.

Current progress

As of 20 May 2026, Dubai Marina Vertiport is under construction per Skyports' 16 April 2026 release. No specific completion date or detailed facility specifications have been published. Commercial operations are contingent on GCAA aircraft type certification (targeted Q3 2026).
