About
Dubai Mall Vertiport is a planned electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) facility at the Dubai Mall in Downtown Dubai. It was announced on 17 November 2025 by Joby Aviation, alongside two further sites — Atlantis the Royal and the American University of Dubai — as part of the initial Dubai vertiport network being built by Skyports Infrastructure under contract to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Emaar Properties is the named property partner.
Joby holds an exclusive six-year operational agreement with the RTA covering air taxi services in the Emirate, signed on 11 February 2024 at the World Governments Summit. Joby's 17 November 2025 release describes the Dubai Mall site as 'the world's largest shopping and entertainment destination, attracting nearly 111 million visitors in 2024'. Skyports stated on 16 April 2026 that construction at the Dubai Mall and Palm Jumeirah nodes was set to begin in the coming months, following the technical completion of DXV.
