The Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal Hybrid Heliport is the UAE's first hybrid heliport — a conversion of an existing helipad to enable both conventional rotorcraft and eVTOL operations from the same facility. The GCAA design approval was announced on 23 April 2025 by Archer Aviation, marking what Archer's release called 'the first civil aviation authority globally to develop regulatory standards for hybrid infrastructure.'
