About
The Archer Midnight is a four-passenger plus one-pilot eVTOL aircraft built by Archer Aviation (NYSE:ACHR). The UAE Launch Edition program covers in-country flight testing, certification readiness, and pre-commercial operations with Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) as the operational partner.
The Midnight conducted its first piloted flight in Abu Dhabi at Al Bateen Executive Airport (AZI) on 2 July 2025. A subsequent multi-month full-envelope desert flight test campaign culminated in Archer's 14 November 2025 announcement of completion. According to Archer's IR release, this was the most extensive in-country eVTOL flight test program publicly disclosed, covering desert temperature, dust, and density-altitude conditions.
Archer's framework agreement with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) was signed at DRIFTx Abu Dhabi on 25 April 2024. Archer's 14 November 2025 IR release confirms that ADIO has now activated this as a definitive agreement, with first payments flowing from Abu Dhabi Aviation under the Launch Edition program.
